Yasmin Birth Control

Yasmin is a brand of the birth control pill that helps prevent pregnancy in most women. Yasmin was approved by the FDA in May of 2001, and consists of the same hormones any other birth control pill would just in a lower dose.

Soon after Yasmin was approved another form of the pill called Yaz was approved by the FDA containing another sort of hormone in it which is called drospirenone, this hormone is effective in treating PMDD, and also PMS in women abroad. The pill also contains higher doses of androgen in order to help clear up acne in women, the androgen in the pill causes to body to produce less oil in the skin, in which in turn reduces the acne on the body and face.

In website reviews, Yasmin has been said to be very affordable for some budgets as well, as different stores may have different price ranges for it. Some side-effects of Yasmin include nausea, bloating, sore breasts, weight gain, headaches, and depression. Although some of these side-effects are rare, they do happen, sometimes your body just needs to get use to the extra hormones the body is receiving, and in about a month some of the side-effects should stop showing up. Then again Yasmin is not for everyone, women with breast cancer, and adrenal disease should not take Yasmin.

Many doctors would recommend this type of birth control pill because of its low-dose of the hormones which do not cause many side-effects in recent reports. The estrogen in the pill, and progestin causes things like weight gain to start to build up. Plus the serotonin in the pill causes the side-effect of depression to show up. Sometimes the estrogen that is in the pill can even cause things like abdominal pain, and severe cramps to show up. You should always consult your doctor before you begin taking Yasmin to make sure its right for your body, or not.
