Missed Birth Control

A lot of women that use birth control out there, have heard of the reports saying that different birth controls sometimes don’t work, and can cause you to get pregnant, and it actually has been proven that a low percentage of women have gotten pregnant while on birth control.

Many women don’t know this, but a lot of different birth controls have different percentages that are effective, and say not effective. A birth control pill might have a 99.9% effectiveness, but there is always that chance that when you have sexual intercourse you can still get pregnant. There are many different methods in which people use to prevent pregnancy, but there is really no method that is 100% effective unless you get surgically altered. Some men, and women actually do have surgery to prevent pregnancy, in men its called a vasectomy, and women its commonly called “tying the tubes”.

A vasectomy is the process in which a doctor will go in, and cut the scrotum of the male open, and then locate the tube that carries the sperm from the testicles to the penis, and either cut it, or block it from travel. The process is very similar to that in a women, the doctor will go in, and locate the tube in which the sperm will travel to fertilize a egg for pregnancy, and cut, or block that tube. This method is always 100% effective, and usually is permanent, but it can be reversed it is just extremely painful to do so.

The younger population that is sexually active usually are found using the barrier method of birth control, which is something that blocks the travel of sperm from the penis into the vagina. This is usually done by a condom worn by the male partner, or a diaphragm worn by the female partner. Although this type of birth control can be ineffective, say for instance if the condom breaks apart, or if the diaphragm breaks apart, and sperm enters the vagina, there is a high possibility that the female will become pregnant.
