Birth Control Pills

There are many different ways out there to inhibit the process of pregnancy in women, but one of the most common ways for women to prevent pregnancy is the process of hormonal contraceptive, by taking a thing commonly called “The Pill”.

 

The Pill is a prescribed method of birth control in which it is a pill which hormonal effected with the female reproductive system which prevents the fertilization on the female egg. The birth control pill was not introduced as a contraceptive to female pregnancy until the early 1990’s, when the birth rate was at its highest. Since its introduction into the contraceptive category of preventing pregnancy for women, many women, and teenage women alike have relied more upon it, then other forms of contraceptives, like different barrier methods, and surgical methods.

The pill has helped thousands of women worldwide to not have to deal with a early pregnancy, teenage women have also used the pill as well, many parents have given it to there teenage kids in order to prevent them from getting pregnant. The pill can also be used for other things such as something commonly called as “the morning after pill”, this is a method in which a female will take the pill in high doses after having intercourse while not on the pill, in the hopes that the high doses of the pill will eliminate the pregnancy process. Sometimes this method can work, and sometimes it may not, it just depends on how long you have waiting after intercourse to do it.

The birth control pill is not something that you can just get over the counter at your local drug store, no. The pill is prescribed by a doctor, after you have had an examination to make sure that the birth control will not harm them. Some people have allergic reactions to different hormones within the pill itself, and if taken they can result in serious injury, and sometimes can even be fatal if not treated right away. The pill has been widely used for a number of years worldwide now, and is popular known for its prevention purposes.
