Many women around in America, and around the world use birth control in order to prevent pregnancy, and sometimes help to prevent the transfer of STD’s. Yet some birth controls have side-effects that can cause things like bleeding.

Birth control has been used since the earlier days of America, where women would use different things like herbs, and poisons to throw off there reproductive track. Back then the side-effects from using those types of birth control methods would be extreme sometimes women would even die from ingesting certain herbs, and poisons. Many people even believed that drinking the water used by blacksmiths to cool metal would have a contraceptive effect on the woman. Nowadays with the advancement of technology birth controls have lowered side effects, and have a proven track record of success as well.

The main reason women have side-effects from being on things like the pill, and the patch is because of the hormones that are released when a women uses either one. The patch, and the pill both contain the hormones androgen,estrogen,progestin, and others used to throw off the reproductive track in female users. The irregular bleeding is caused by the hormone progestin which disrupts the menstrual cycle of the woman, and can sometimes cause the irregular bleeding that some women get from being on birth control. A lot of women suffer from other side-effects as well like depression,sore breasts, nausea, and trouble sleeping at night.

Many doctors recommend that you take birth control because if you do not want to get pregnant birth control is almost always effective, but there have been some reports of women getting pregnant while still on birth control. If you do suffer from things like irregular bleeding from birth control that your taking you should stop taking birth control, and contact your local doctor whenever you get the chance to see what the problem is. The problem might be in the level of hormone that is within the pill, or that it just doesn’t agree with you at all, and you should stop taking a certain kind.
